fat, cuddly kitties

Hannibal blending in

Hannibal is half Maine Coon and only the length of his coat hides this fact. The inside is all coon, even the sourpuss face reveals it. If you ask himself he'll say that he's a dog. He loves to go for walks with us around the property and cries for help if he gets lost in the tall grass. Nearly always responds to the calling of his name (just like the dogs...)

Unlike his brother Felix he's present at all times, curious, cuddly, self-assured.

Hobby: washing my hair.

felix von fedeberg

Felix is a big chicken, with emphasis on big (8 kg/17 lbs). His favourite thing besides eating is lounging in a hammock or safe from the world in "dad's" upstairs office. Never mind that he doesn't actually fit into any of the hammocks.

He hates to be picked up, strangers and loud noises. Cuddling is ok when he chooses it, but then he really gets into it and falls flat on his back.

Surprisingly, he does catch mice. Sometimes he forgets to kill them though.

da tutmut!

Muddi found us one Christmas, crying for help outside the door. Skinny and injured, eyes nearly shut with infection. After an expensive vet visit and lots of antibiotics she's now a chubby little ball of lightning with the funniest personality.

She of course thinks she's the princess of all Earth and master of winged prey. People are mainly door openers, even of cat doors. Why bother pushing when you have staff?

At precisely 10 pm every night I must be available to sit on the stairs and cuddle.

pivsemivs

Mivs was passed on to us with the farm, having ruled the stable for 4 years. We made the mistake of inviting her in, now we're having a hard time kicking her out. She is a great hunter, no live rats on this property.

She doesn't like the other cats much, but she'll attach herself with velcro (um, claws...) to any human that looks slightly inviting.

Sheds all year, she ought to be bald by now.

Whines a lot, especially at times when you just don't have time to pick her up.

Assorted cat photos with comment.
